That day I realized something. I am very lucky that I am provided with all the things I need (even what I want). It's time I help some of my brothers and sisters. It pays to do something good, I know I had made these kids happy with just the little rice and food I donated. I know it'll come a long way.

The thought that we had brought joy to these people makes me happy :) (no kidding)

In behalf of all the officers, teachers, and organizations behind this very successful program, our deepest thanks to the people of Bawing and Barangay Darussalam!

Everything a Woman can be

Mothers

Today is May 13 and we all know it's Mothers' day. Too bad for me, mama is in Iligan now to have my brother enrolled in college. We went to church with my housemates and I had read a very wonderful message in the programme.

I would like to share this to all of you beacause you are so dear to me but it's too long to type. When I try to copy-paste it, it doesn't look good heehee Forgive me and my laziness. Good thing it's in the internet. If it's too long, you can skip it if you want :) But if you want to read it, better :P

 READ IT HERE

Wonderful, isn't it? :) (You won't get me if you didn't read it) To sum it up, Moms give their children everything yet she doesn't receive any appreciation. It talks about how children think only about themselves. Still, moms don't give up on caring for you and giving you a life she wants you to live. While we(children) age, we forget that our mothers are becoming older as well. Love your mother more than you love yourself for without them, you won't be here reading my blog :P

My mom is the prettiest I swear. I am proud to be one of her children :) Some people say- "Being a mom is everything a woman can be." True. A doctor,a chef, etc. At times, I find her annoying (aminin nyo na) but admit it, you love her more than anything else <3 Thanks Mama, I love you so so so much.

Weird Teacher

Last Monday, May 7, My mom and I went to Koronadal for some agenda. Koronadal is a 45-minute ride from Gensan. We went to Gaisano Grand Koronadal and it's not the same as the malls in our city. For all you know, I love Koronadal. We joined the RSPC (Regional Schools Press Conference) which was held there in two consecutive years (2010-2011). But their malls are....

The last time I went to Koronadal, the construction of Gaisano Grand was not yet finished:

Everytime we pass by the on-going construction, I would say to myself "Aaah, maganda 'to."

By the way, the building was the former Fit Mart Marbel. It was opened I think just between late December and early this January. I can't find it in the internet.

So, we went there supposedly to eat our lunch, but then the only place to eat there was the food court. We were expecting they have something like greenwhich because we feel like eating pizza but they don't. Considering they just opened, I'm like "Oh, they just opened. That must be why they don't even have jollibee in here pa." hahahaha

But wait, their clothes choices in the Department Store was pretty good and my hands are dying to get some. We transferred to another mall but the place is not worth-sharing. Sorryyy.

Anyway, that was not what I was going to share. Upon entrance (Gaisano), some highschoolers came up to us and offered us some free hugs. They told us it's their requirement in school. Wait,WHAT? What was that teacher-who-gave-them-such-requirement thinking?Your teacher is scary.. A hug is something not easy to give to just someone you met for the very first time. What if they're pickpockets? hahahahahaha

1.) They hug somebody.

2.) Take a picture while they're hugging.

Seriously, who would hug someone they don't know? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm not pissed  off here, okay? I just find them funny. Good Luck, baka wala kayong picture na mapasa. I literally ignored them and my mom and I just walked away (At least mama smiled at them.)

Today's Photo Diary

Today, I was invited to a Web Video Blogging Training by our school's Supreme Students' Government (SSG)'s President, and my classmate and a very good friend as well Abbygale Sunico and our school's Information Technology Expert, Sir Justin Tubao. It was held at Mabuhay I.T Park General Santos City which is located just behind Sun City Suites.

We were asked to assemble at the convinience store at 8 am but being the Filipino that we are, Henny (she's kind of our neighbor but not really,I went with her to sun city) and I went 30 minutes late. I promise it wont happen again galey ! <3

Here were the photos I took, sorry for the others are a bit crappy :(

Img_2447
8:30-9 am WAITING FOR THE OTHERS... At least we weren't the only ones who came late. P.S: They were having a hard time on which lesson to attend-wether Photoshop, Blogging, or Video Editing. In case you want to know, I joined the Video Editing Class :D and I have to say, IT'S COOL.

Img_2448
The Venue. It was a comfortable venue, complete with the best I.T facilities, a big thanks to our city mayor Hon. Darlene Antonino ! Nakakaignorante yung door.

Img_2449
Supposed to be, ako yung mauunang magpapicture eh ! Joke :)) That's Henny, the gentle giant of the school. She acts like a baby yet thinks with maturity hahahahaha.

Img_2450
Posing like tourists, we show big smiles in front of the building we visited for the first time. "Wag maging turista sa sariling bayan" Sorry, malay ko bang may ganito sa GenSan. Nakakaproud! World -class technologies and stuff hahahaha

Img_2452
Before we enter, we have to sign up a logbook. Ohkayy.. that's my cute classmate Alexis signing up :)

Img_2453
THE TRAINING. We learned a lot during the lessons.Say hello to Domo-kun! :) It was fun listening to the experts. Nakakahawa. CHOS.

Img_2454
Sadly, the connection's slowwww. Look at those tiles of photos without even one picture loading :(

EVALUATION SHEET ASKED:(*Paraphrased)

2.) What can you suggest to improve the training blablabla?

"It could have been better if the internet connection was faster, beacause even downloading pictures from the world wide web took a lot of time and we had just limited time to finish our works. Other than that, the training was the best "

Well, I'm just being honest and safe naman yung answer ko hahahaha the second sentence was like avoiding some argument. SIPSIP!!

Img_2455
LUNCH! The very reason why I attended (joke), was finally served. Fish Fillet, (Not sure if that's chopseuy or veggie salad coz the vegetables are kind of raw)to be safe, vegetable, macaroni salad and...2 rice ? Judging from how skinny I am, obviously, hindi ko naubos yung food. sayang :((

For the video I made, It was a happy-mothers'-day video and I forgot to get my own copy. How sad. But its okay.

After ze awzumm training, we went to the mall for a walk ^_________^ and.....food and... play :)

We played four rounds of ball and I am proud to say that the three of us got 200+ points in round one and round three,i think. YAYYY!!

Sarangani Bay Festival '12

Yesterday, me and my brother were invited to an event in connection to the Sarangani Bay Fest '12.

Sarbayfest

The said event was titled SarBay "like" Marathon. I was so thrilled at the same time a bit scared because my brother invited me in a "pasuspense" way.

"I-invite daw si Joylynn (P.S:that's me) kay writer daw."

Upon the invitation, thoughts of what-will-happen-later came flashing in my mind (#PartialChos) like we will be tasked to write an article promoting Sarangani Bay, and the likes. I'm really not a writer for Pete's sake, I'm a photojournalist! Well, I write too, but I'm limited for short captions only heehee.

4 pm came & off we went to Cafe Firenzo,Sun City. We were welcomed by -- er, whom I think are super high class people which made me scared more than ever. We were given our free tees and I'm loving it-May pangextra tshirt na ako sa school *evil laugh*

Ok, so...we sit with our laptops (mine, just borrowed from my other brother -.- ) & let their facebook page gain a target increase of 500 likes. Kinabog nila ang expectations ko XD Is there a connection with me being a writer to my facebook promoting skills? Ohkayy, I don't get it.

Being the amateur blogger that I am, this was the only photo I took. Hindi man lang ako nasali ? fail.

Tiffany & Donna inviting friends to like the SarBay page

boohoooo!! -.-

We started from 3,397 likes and as of now, it already has 3,690+ likes. HORAYYYYY!!! There was an overflowing coffee dispenser but the three of us drank just 1 cup. Anyway, I had more or less 80 friends whom I got to like the page from 4 pm until 7 pm. Clap clap clap! Job well done.

Now I know the feeling of being snobbed by other people who ignore your request on chat -.-  It isn't a virus, OOHHKAYY?

me: HI! please like the blablablabla~

friend: Sino ka ?

BASTUSAN DRE? Can't you just like the page ?! Ok, enough with the kasupladahan.

I had a lot of fun there and I hope I get to join more events like that in the days to come.

Sarbay

the one taking the pic: EVERYBODY SAY SARBAY!

us: SARBAYYY !! :)

Don't mind my feet, I thought the pic was elbow-level hahhahahahaha Don't forget to like ! :)

lots of love,

joylynn <3
